Hi, I'm new to the forum, getting back into truck modeling after a 30 year absence. I built most of the AMT & Ertl range back in the day but thought I'd go for something bigger as the faculties fade. I've decided to restore a Pocher Volvo F12 recently purchased off ebay for spares or repair. I only hope that I can emulate some of the excellent detailing that you guys manage in 1/24. Here's a few photo's of progress, albeit slow, to date.

Felt like xmas when the box arrived, part disassembled and carefully wrapped.

On closer inspection some damage, a lot of paint to remove and a few missing parts, most noticeably a fuel tank. Some good weathering, though in this case I think its real!

Stripping everything back to component parts, lots of nail varnish remover and Aerial Power Spray. Managed to get the drive train rebuilt if only to save my sanity while repainting the chassis components and paint striping the cab.

Thanks for a great forum guys, perfect inspiration and lots of great tips.

Good job on the restoration so far Gearjammer Applause Hope you dont mind me asking, but how much did you have to pay for the Pocher?

Keep up the good work.

Hi Trev, I paid just over £100 plus postage. I've been looking for a while and they don't come along too often, I had seen a couple of new unopened kits but the sellers wanted $1000.
