I started this as a "quick" project just before I left to go home in September -- I finally finished it over the weekend. It's the Kingdom Trucks ERF EC on an Italeri DAF chassis. I decided to leave the chassis with its 3.8 m wheelbase.

One thing I'm not totally happy with is the location of the front bumper. The instructions read to leave 3.5 mm of the chassis in front of the radiator. The radiator is stepped ... so I'm not totally sure I got it right -- I used a 3.4 mm strip that I glued to the inside of the bumber and then glued to the radiator -- seems to me that the bumper sits too far forward. But overall, I'm happy with the way this has turned out.

Thanks for the words of encouragement every one, much appreciated.

Pete,

I'd already started it when Karen was looking ...

The Transconti needs to be towing something using the bars (there's no way I'm messing with that rigging again!) -- I could use the long bar to the front axle I suppose, but for now, this is going solo.

Thanks Mark. I like the EC as well -- saw plenty of them on the roads in South Africa when I was growing up. The EC and the E-series were both pretty popular.
