I have updated this dated January 18, 2012 to reflect changes with the latest version of the forum.

[b]First, you need to click New Topic in the top right hand corner of the screen, or Post a Reply at the bottom of a topic.

NOTE: Quick Reply doesn't work.

Then you need to click the little mountain icon in the posting tool bar.

This will open a dialogue box for you to enter the address (URL) of the image you want to post.

Open your online photo album and find the photo you want to add. (I'm using my Fotki account -- so this might vary slightly with other albums.)

Right-click on the photo, and select Properties from the menu that pops up.

Select and copy the Address (URL) text in the dialogue that opens.

Paste this address into the dialogue box from the TMW forum.

Repeat as necessary (like I did in this post).

If there is a "?" somewhere in the URL, then remove the "?" and everything after it.

Click Post when you're finished, and you should get your post with all the pictures in it.

If you are using Flickr, you can click "Share" to see options for sharing the photos.

Then click "Grab the HTML/BBCode"

Click BBCode

Click the text and press CTRL + C to copy it to your clipboard, then CTRL + V to paste it into the text box on TMW.

I should mention that using Brendans method, you need to have opened the photo to full size. If you do it while its a thumbnail, you will get the thunbnail in your post as the two size pics have different URLs.

With photobucket that I use, there are links below each pic which you can click on and copy and paste

Thanks Lone, I don't have Photobucket, so there will be differences between it and Flickr.

No Richard, it is not. I have no idea how the avatars work.

You would make an avatar via your profile and yes they are disabled on this forum for some reason.

For those of you who use Flickr, they've made it easier:

1) Go to the photo you want to post.
2) Click on "Share this" above the photo.
3) Click "Grab HTML/BBCode".
4) Click "BBCode" at the bottom of the little window that opens.
5) Select the text that appears, and copy it to your clipboard (CTRL + C).
6) Paste the text into the text box on the TMW forum.

This has all the correct links and everything to work on this forum.

Brendan et all,

This is extremely helpful to us non PC chaps. I have managed to load some photos of my Guy Big J sleeper conversion onto Photo bucket but still can't seem to transfer them to the forum. Could anyone do the same as Brendan did with easy to use instructions in order to help an old codger transfer from photo bucket to these pages??

Thanks in advance
Charles

OK, some changes with the new forum (2012) version:

If your picture URL has a ? in it followed by text (as can be seen in my original post), you will need to remove the ? and everything that follows it. If you leave the ? in, the forum doesn't recognize it as a link/picture and doesn't do anything with it.
