G'day,
Thanks fellas, and thanks for the E-mail Peter.
Yeah there were quite a few 142'S in NZ a lot were 8x4's,not many left now,but I know of three 112's still working localy and half a dozen 3 Series'. Toxic mate, yep it's going to be a M/E banger, the truck that I'm basing it on has this style of tank and yeah it would be a bit of work if the rear spring had to be changed, the tank would probably have to come off first.
The mesh is from a flour sive, cut to size then an angle frame built round it. The sive was a good buy and will yield much mech.
It took me a while to figger how to do the ends,I drew them out many times on graph paper first to get the right shape and proportions, then marked the shape on half mill plastic card.
Wolfie I'll stick up a post on how to do them, when I get time,it's easy, but there's a bit to it and needs pics to explain.
Not got much done this week as we've just had our first little'un and he takes priority.
But I did manage to knock up a cab tilt pump and cat walk grab handle.

Cheers Jamie
